In April '26, we were delighted to welcome two very well known local historians Dr Mark Gorman, author of Saving the People’s Forest, and Peter Williams MA (Cantab), author of dozens of articles on local history topics and West Ham and its Fire Brigade: An Illustrated History.
They gave a very interesting and insightful talk on West Ham's notable Quakers who have lived in the local area, especially around the location of our venue, Clapton Community Football Club
