Our speaker, Marie writes “When I started to read about her, I only had a vague notion that she once lived in East Ham and was known for visiting prisoners in Newgate Prison. What I didn’t know was how fascinating her life was and how much influence she had in social reform across England and abroad.”

Here is the programme of walks and gallery visits for June. (The programme can be found here for here for May.)  All events are £10, no refunds. The sessions from June will launch on Thursday 21st May 2026

(Please note the walk that was taking place on 22nd May has changed to 26th May due to the proposed tube strikes.) There are also few places left for 12th May Albertopolis walk and V&A gallery visit with Marilyn Greene. Information and links can be found on the events page (as above)


All of the walks/gallery visits have proved very popular and been fully booked almost as soon as advertised. So don't delay booking. There will of course be waiting lists for each session.

Please remember that the London Region events team cannot book or reserve places on your behalf.
