Choir Boys

East London is lucky to have a number of community and small professional theatres, Stratford East a leader from the moment Joan Littlewood set up the Theatre Workshop, premiered Oh What a Lovely War and the staging of A Taste of Honey.

This week the Theatre group saw the current production, Choirboy. The play, featuring a young and very talented cast, explores adolescence, racism and being black with a mix of music, dance and dialogue. Very challenging. Afterwards a friendly hour together in Pizza Express.

Walks and Visits Programme

Here is the programme of walks and gallery visits for June. (The programme can be found here for here for May.)  All events are £10, no refunds. The sessions from June will launch on Thursday 21st May 2026

The programme for this and all future events can be found on the events page of the website.

(Please note the walk that was taking place on 22nd May has changed to 26th May due to the proposed tube strikes.) There are also few places left for 12th May Albertopolis walk and V&A gallery visit with Marilyn Greene. Information and links can be found on the events page (as above)

All of the walks/gallery visits have proved very popular and been fully booked almost as soon as advertised. So don't delay booking. There will of course be waiting lists for each session.

Please remember that the London Region events team cannot book or reserve places on your behalf.
