The speaker will recall his personal experience of settling in Newham in the early 70s and some of the people he came across who emigrated from from the Far East.
The talk will also cover a brief history of Hong Kong under the British Colonial Administration and what are the main changes since 1997 now operating under a Special Administration Region (SAR) of China.
What were the circumstances and major events behind his parents’ move to London.
